Kettle Falls Picnic 6/13-6/17

The annual Kettle Falls Picnic and Camp out was very well attended this year.  It turned out to be one of the best events that the Spokane Walleye Club has had in years. We were excited to see several new members in attendance as well as some of our veteran members that have had some health problems recently.

The fishing was good, but not great. Almost all boats were catching at least a few fish. It seemed like the most productive areas were around Evans and near the mouth of the Colville River. Jim K. had a very productive day pulling spinners at the Dalles on Thursday, but had very slow fishing in the same area Friday. Gordie O. picked up a limit of walleyes near Evans on Friday. Ken/Sharon L, Paul/Lynn L, Doug N, and Greg K also picked up several walleyes around Evans on Friday. Ken/Sharon V enjoyed consistent fishing between the Kettle Falls Marina and the mouth of the Colville River Friday and Saturday. Most folks caught fish pulling spinners behind bottom bouncers in depths ranging from 25 feet and 50 feet.
