Tom and Dianne Gifford (Lake Roosevelt) 7/30-31

We left Locust Grove after the tournament on Monday the 29th. Several of us went to Gifford for most of the following week. Didn't fish Monday but went out Tuesday. The air temp was about 90+ with no breeze. I got 2 walleye about 15/16 inches and had several bites on 1/4 oz jig smoke curly tail and worm. All bites and fish were in about 20 feet or less. After about an hour and a half the heat chased us off the water.  We went out again that evening after it had cooled off. Fished the same area below the ferry dock. Sat in 15/20 feet of water and cast in shallow. Dianne picked up one about 17 just as it was getting dark. I switched to a green-punkin blackpepper curly tail and picked up 7lb 12 oz  in about 6/10 feet of water, mosquitoes chased us off the water.

Wednesday we made a run up to Chalk Grade for no fish but Metiers did pretty well by the A-frame above Daisy. Spent the rest of the week visiting with the group.
