Our family spent 3 days and 2 nights camping at Porcupine Bay. We experienced wonderful weather and smoke free skies. More time was spent boating, tubing, and playing games at camp than fishing, but my daughter and I did manage to spend about an hour a day fishing. Thursday evening we caught one walleye and missed several bites, but we did locate the spot that proved to be productive the next couple of days. We returned late Friday morning with a mission to catch dinner, and we got 4 walleyes between 13 and 17 inches. On Saturday, my daughter caught 3 small walleyes while I missed several bites. Eight walleyes in 3 hours of fishing was good considering the lake level of 1278 feet which was a drop of about 10 feet in the last 3 weeks. Water temperature 70 to 73. Water clarity, very clear.
