Greg and Smiley: Rufus Woods - 11/4/21

It was a chilly and cloudy day at Rufus with temperatures in the low 40s. Walleyes were tough to find. We each caught one 19 inch walleye. I also landed a 17 inch triploid and a 20 inch whitefish…both good fighters. The bite at Rufus in November can be tough, but I have caught some large walleyes late in the fall at Rufus. I did hook up with one large walleye, but lost it a third of the way to the boat as it spit the hook. There was decent current and the water temperature was near 50 degrees.
