Greg: Roosevelt - 4/22/2005
My father-in-law and I fished Lake Roosevelt on a Friday. We were not in a hurry to get to the lake since it was a frosty morning. We were on the water around 10 AM, and met up with Allan. As we pulled up to him, he was landing a fish. Within 5 minutes, I landed my first walleye. It seemed like we were on our way to a great day. Unfortunately, as the morning clouds disappeared, the bite ended. We had 4 walleyes (16-18 inches) by 1230 PM which made a delicious shore lunch. We caught nothing in the afternoon. Water temperature was 44 degrees which was about the same as last trip I took on March 25th. Lake elevation was 1249 feet.
