Greg: Rufus Woods - 5/6/2026
It was a slow day at Rufus Woods. I got 2 walleyes and a burbot during a long day on the water. I fished from 1030 am to 8 pm. I picked up a 19 inch walleye and an 18 inch burbot within the first 45 minutes. I didn’t catch another walleye until after 7 pm…a 24.5 inch walleye. Releases from the dam were light for much of the day. From 10am to 6pm, the flow was between 60-70 kcfs after being as high as 130 kcfs overnight. The 3 or 4 days prior, flows were consistently in the 100-130 kcfs range around the clock. Increases in flow typically generate more fish activity. Water temperature 49 degrees.
