Bill F: Hunters - July 7-8

I spent 1 1/2 days at Hunters (Lake Roosevelt) due to the heat and wind that really kicked up around 11:30.... The catch was less than exciting with only 8 walleye all between 15 and 17 inches half of which were caught pulling plugs over the weeds in front of the campground. The rest were on walkers on the flat by the point directly across from the campground... I did get and incidental fish just south in the clay wash.  The wind caught my boat and as I sped up I pulled the walker up off the bottom and caught a Chinook (identified by the black gum line) measuring 21 1/2 inches weighing 3 lbs 13 oz.... Healthy looking fish with an intact adipose fin.... This was the 5th Chinook I've caught in Roosevelt but all others were south of the Spokane River while Trout fishing...
