Greg and Bob: Snake River - 11/7
Fishing was slow for us on the Snake River. We launched at 830 am and didn't even catch a bass until 1 pm. We ended the day catching 3 walleyes, 3 smallmouth, and a big perch. The walleyes were 13 inches, 13 inches and 28 inches. The water temperature was 54 degrees which is a 4 degree drop from the last time I fished the Snake River 3 weeks ago.
More Info for Club Members: The crankbait bite was no good. The swift current areas that had been so good earlier in the fall produced no bites for us. We tried these spots in the morning and again in the afternoon. The only fish we caught were in 30+ feet of water near deep pools around the Texas Rapids campground and the mouth of the Tucannon River. We used smile blades with foam floats to minimize the snags in these rocky areas with steep edges.
