Travis S: Snake River - 8/4

I fished the Snake last Saturday out of Lion's Ferry.  It was a decent day...... It would've been better with at least a slight wind.  However, the water was glass........

I took a novice and we fished from noon until Sundown.  Overall, we caught 7 walleye from 22 inches down to 16.  They were caught on a mixed bag, but I think we would've gotten more if I was fishing with my go-to Slick Smelt #11 Flicker Minnow.      However, my guest was using that and I know that he missed a few strikes, cus he said so.......  He did catch the 22 incher tho.......  I caught one on a purple Rebel Deep, two more on a Standard Size #11 Flicker Minnow in traditional Firetiger.  (not slick firetiger)......

I also caught about a 3 lbs. Pike Minnow and a 2 lbs. channel cat.......  We took various smallmouth throughout the day as well....only kept one.

Overall not a bad day, but not awesome either......   It was busier than i've seen it in the past.  Prolly about 8-12 boats fishin' walleye throughout the day......  No one except us had more than two fish, but no one else was pullin' cranks......all bottom bouncers...........  5 fish were caught up by the dam and I caught the other two across from the grain elevators.......
