Jack: Snake River - 4/5/23
Last Wed. I took two guys to Texas Rapids. We started the day with the three of us trolling worm harnesses. The fickle wind made boat control nearly impossible. I quit fishing mid morning and spent 100% of my time running the boat. It worked out better for everyone. I was able to keep the boat in the fish zone (50 to 30 ft.). The guys boated 13 fish, 3 of which were perch. They had their best success using Lindy Lil' Guys, 1" size in transparent yellow (or gold).
Their next best bait was a 1 " Lil' Guy in perch color. Fish ranged from 12 to 18 inches.
That Friday two other guys from Lewiston went down and boated 52 fish jigging, most of which were 'dinks'. They did hook one that was 23 in. They had either no wind or light breezes the entire time they were there.
Seems I just picked the wrong day to be down there.
