Jack W: Snake River-2/13/2024

Walleye fishing on the Snake R. around Texas Rapids is heating up. Fish are moving from the depths up into the 40 to 70 ft range.

It sounds as though guys are keeping everything they catch. So I foresee that fishery being depleted at some point.

Also. Some of the Walleye have been regurgitating shrimp after being caught. 

Corps reports that at times shrimp will clog some of their screens. With this in mind, shrimp may be an alternate bait to worms or plastics that members may want to try.
