George: Long Lake - 5/23/2025

Yesterday, 05-23 my neighbor, Dan, took me to Lake Spokane (Long Lake) for some walleye. We launched @ Nine Mile Resort & started right by the docks. We used bottom bouncers in 15 - 20 ft. He had a black Smile blade with gold beads. I started with a dark blue Colorado spinner with white beads & a very short leader. He got the first fish, a nice 21" 3#. I missed 3 fish & decided I needed a longer leader, I switched to a fire tiger Colorado blade withe chartreuse beads & missed another solid hit. Then things died so we moved down river about 2 miles. Dan got a shaker about 13" & I caught a 19" 2#er. We stayed there, each getting a couple more small, 10 -12"ers & a small catfish. Took home the 2 keepers. Great day learning the new, to me lake.
