I hit the Spokane Arm on Friday. I arrived around 11 am and there was a breezy north wind producing white caps at the Porcupine ramp. It had been a month since I had fished the Arm, so it took a couple of hours to find walleyes. Prior to 2 pm, I only had one or two bites, but I enjoyed a very good mid to late afternoon bite. I ended up catching 16 walleyes and released quite a few. Fish ranged from 12 inches to 20 inches. It is nice to see a range in year classes with a lot of good eater sized walleyes between 15 and 17 inches. The water temperature was 63 degrees.
