Greg, John, and Shirley: Roosevelt - 5/12/2026

We made a day of it on Lake Roosevelt. We started fishing around 10 am, took a 90 minute break in the afternoon, and fished until about 7pm. The walleyes were biting. We caught over 40 walleyes, but released quite a few that were well under 13 inches. Most of the fish we caught were between 13 and 15 inches. One walleye was 19 inches. We also got one 12 inch perch and a handful of six inch smallmouth. The water level was 1256 feet and rising about a half foot per day. The weather was great with an occasional light breeze and afternoon temps in the 80s. Water temperature averaged about 60 degrees.
