Ken L: Columbia River Vernita - 9/16-17
On Sept. 16&17 a friend and I fished above the Vernita bridge on the Columbia river. Water temp. was 66 degrees so they weren't that aggressive. The fish are just getting there in big numbers. We managed to get 7 Chinooks running between 10 & 20 lbs. We fished the edges of the river usually in 25 ft. of water. All were caught 15 & 25 ft. of water. Hot Tamale super bait stuffed with tuna mix worked best.
