Larry and Brian: Roosevelt - 5/23

Brian and I had a pretty good day today, about 35 or 40 fish, a lot of cigars, couple in the 16/17" range, kept 12 or so. We launched at Porcupine.  We got ahead of  a lot of the  Memorial Day crowd and worked our way up as far a  mile post 4 1/2 catching a few at this or that spot. We met a couple boats coming back down from Buoy 5 and they said there were several boats there. We elected to stay out of their way as the water level was so low.  I was thinking that it seems in all the times I've been to 'Roosevelt', most all the fish are 16 to 17" as the biggest ever. Where are all these 4 or 5 pounders? About an hour later, I hooked one 5 pounds or so, Weeping Wall. Right after that we left, had enough of the 'boaters'.
