Greg: Roosevelt - 7/12
I went to Hunters for the evening. Got on the water about 3 PM and fished until 9 PM. Action was good for small fish. I caught 20 walleyes in the 11 to 13 inch range. Roosevelt is finally at full pool. There is a lot of debris floating in the lake. I hit a big log at full throttle. Fortunately, no damage. My obstacle course evening had just begun with the floating log. Highway 25 was alive with critters on my way home to Spokane. I hit a raccoon and saw several deer standing along side the road.
More info: I fished points near Willmont Creek south of Hunters. Breezy winds produced mud-lines on several main lake points. I trolled bouncers and spinners at 1.5mph through the mud lines. Most of the fish came out of 25 feet of water. I tried casting jigs, crankbaits and swim baits into the muddy water, but only had a couple bites on the jigs. Prior to sunset, I trolled crankbaits over emerging weed beds. No bites on crankbaits.
