Ken and Sharon L: Banks Lake - 7/14
Talked with Ken on the phone this evening. He and Sharon fished Banks Lake on Monday and Tuesday. They fought the wind Monday evening for 3 hours and caught 8 fish. On Tuesday morning, the weather was more favorable. They caught 30 walleyes in the 13 to 16 inch range in a few hours and called it a day.
More info for club members: On day one, Ken fished the Steamboat and Barker Flat areas. Fishing was tough and the wind made it difficult to control the boat. On day two, Ken launched at the Mid Lake Launch by the big gravel parking lot on the east side of the lake. He and Sharon fished the flat north of the Mid Lake Launch to Rose Bush (east shore line). He pulled bottom bouncers and spinners in 20 feet of water. It sounds like there is a weed line in this area, and he fished the deep edge of the weeds.
