Bill F: Columbia River - 7/27-29

Fished below McNary Monday (7/27) thru Wednesday)... Due to wind only fished 3 hours on Monday for 4 walleye largest 4 lb 5oz... Tuesday provided 7 fish largest being 4 lb 3 oz... Wednesday was 4 fish the biggest being 7 lb 4 oz  plus the second largest was another 4 lb'er... All were caught on bottom walkers using spinners and smilie blades (the crawler juiced with a dab of bloody tuna gel may have helped)... On Monday I lost 4 fish at the boat until I upped my hook size a bit... Don't make the mistake I did and leave your Steelhead net at home... Makes for some difficulty when netting by oneself with the size of some of these fish...  McNary was dumping water on all days with the temperature between 68 and a bit over 69 degrees....  Had a pleasant stay at Plymouth campground (again)... With the senior pass the rate was $11/day which includes water, electric, hot showers, laundry..... For a couple extra $$ you can get a site which provides gray water disposal.. The boat dock 0.2 miles west of the campsite is very much improved as opposed to previous years... A guest speaker at a club meeting from the at Tri-cites club mentioned they might do a club project there... They may have done so as the other dock was still in rags...
