Greg and Mike: Roosevelt - 10/1

My friend from Kansas City is in town for the week to do some fishing. After brutally cold, windy and snowy weather over the weekend, we finally got some “warmer” weather. We went to Lake Roosevelt and enjoyed temperatures in the upper 40s with a bit of sunshine. The walleye bite was surprisingly good after the stormy weather. We ended up catching 25 walleyes and a dozen smallmouth bass. Mike caught big fish of the day with a 21 inch walleye that weighed 3 pounds.

More info for club members:

The bite at Blue Creek was steady in 45 to 60 feet. We trolled 3 ounce bouncers along steep edges near deep water. Chrome smile blades with purple beads seemed to work the best with a half a crawler. The bite was extremely light and we missed a lot of bites throughout the day.

Greg caught a double! A walleye on one hook and a smallmouth bass on the second hook.
