Glenn: Long Lake - 1/10/22

The lake is down 6 feet (launched at a private launch) and fished 6.5 hours in very foggy conditions till 1 PM. The sportsman area was frozen close to shore and my wake broke off large slabs of 3/4 inch ice which drifted across basically closing the channel off. The area around willow bay is ice covered from both sides except for 1/3 of the river down the middle. Did not go below the sunset bay area. The area above the nine mile launch is ice free except the most shallow areas due to current. For all the ice dodging and freezing fog was rewarded with 3 pike minnows and 4 each 5 inch walleyes snagged with blade baits. Have never fished the lake with it down, and mostly frozen as you went down river. Water temp was 36-39 degrees. Be careful is the only real take away.
