I arrived at Porcupine Bay around 11 AM. It was a beautiful 70 degree day with bright sunshine and light wind. I spent the first couple of hours looking for active walleyes and didn’t find a thing. I saw a couple of other boats catch a fish or two, but I didn’t get my first bite until almost 3 PM. I finally dialed in a slow and steady pattern that continued into the evening. I put 16 walleyes in the boat. Several were small throw-backs, but I did end up with 10 keepers which were all males. Water temp 48 degrees. Water clarity 5 to 8 feet.
