Greg: Roosevelt - 5/29/2026

A friend from church joined me on a day trip to Roosevelt. The bite was slow, possibly impacted by big changes in the weather. The day prior to our trip was nearly 90 degrees in Spokane followed by severe thunderstorms and heavy rain in the evening. The weather during our day of fishing was pleasant with temperatures in the 70s with occasionally breezy winds. We started fishing around 9am, but didn’t catch our first fish until noon. We ended up keeping 10 walleyes in the 13 to 17 inch range and releasing several small fish. I also released a 28 inch walleye that weighed 7lb 12oz. Lake elevation 1270 feet and rising about a half foot per day.
