KC and Montana Friends: Roosevelt - 6/2,4,6/2026

I went fishing with friends Tom and Hal on June 2, 4 and 6th at Northport. On the 1st day we started fishing around 8:30 and got our first fish within 5 minutes.  Fishing was steady all day  and got 3 limits by 3 pm. The big fish for the day was 19 inches with most in the 16-17 inch range. We didn't keep anything under 14 inches and threw back a bunch. I couldn't fish with them on the 3rd but they reported they got 2 more limits by 2:30 with more throwbacks. On the 4th we fished hard all day and kept 27 with quite a few throwbacks, we upped the minimum size to 15 inches.  The last day, fishing was slow except for the smallies. Between the 3 of us we threw back 45 under 15 inches and put 16 keepers in the boat. The big fish of the day was 24 and the only one I caught in the morning. We stopped fishing around 2:30. The weather was perfect every day with the wind picking up on the last day around 11:30.
