Club Fish Day: Ft Spokane - 4/2

We had very good weather for our first Club Fish Day of 2016! I counted 9 SWC boats. Fishing was tough especially in the morning. Several boats caught a handful of fish in the morning, but bites were few and far between. Club members scattered out by late morning with little success. We grouped up again by mid afternoon. Doug and Evan finally discovered a productive pattern around 2 PM. Between 2 PM and 430 PM, the group caught a good number of 11 to 18 inch walleyes.

More info for club members: The flat across from Deer Meadows produced our best action from 2 PM to 430 PM. Doug and Evan wandered into 75 feet of water and started to catch fish. The rest of us followed suit, and enjoyed consistent action for a couple of hours. Several of us fished the same area in the morning, but were likely not fishing deep enough. Green, silver, and pink were productive colors using bottom bouncers of 2.5 to 3 ounces. Bites were subtle and many fish got off while reeling them up out of 75 feet of water.

In attendence: Allan W/Don L, Doug N/Evan B, Ken V/friend, Patrick S and family, Mr and Mrs David O, Greg K/Sanford F, Jon and Shirley C, and Tom and Dianne F. Ron and Jan H were also fishing, but went up the Arm before the group arrived, and we didn't see them all day.
