Fall Camp Out: Ft Spokane - 9/15-19

The weather Thursday and Friday was good for being on the lake with sunshine, temperatures in the 70s, and wind generally less than 10 mph. Fishing was slow as we have come to expect this time of year on Lake Roosevelt. Walleyes were generally small with most in the 11 to 17 inch range. The weather took a turn for the worse on Saturday with a chilly rain and breezy west winds. Club members got back on the water Sunday and Monday as sunshine returned.

More Info for Club Members: Lyle, Stan, and Doug S found good numbers of small fish in The Narrows Friday and again on Sunday pulling bouncers and gold spinners in the 30 to 40 foot range. Greg and Travis caught good numbers of 11 to 17 inch walleyes as well as a few bass and trout on Friday in the Buoy 7 area pulling bouncers and spinners. They also found a handful of small walleyes and perch on weedbeds between Porcupine Bay and the Narrows by casting small crankbaits into weeds and rock piles. Greg went looking for better sized fish Friday evening on the main lake, and found a few 16-18 inch walleyes in 80-100 feet of water in the Nayborly area slow trolling 3 ounce bouncers and chrome smile blades.
