Travis: Snake River - 7/6

Fishing Report:

 Snake River:

I had one of my co-workers (who's also a friend) in town for the weekend and early part of the next week.  He loves to fish, as most Wisconsinites do.  We hit the Snake on Saturday and were on the water by 11:30 AM .  We picked up one nice 18 incher right away trolling a Slick Smelt in 20 foot of water.  (Again, I think those Snake River Eyes like purple during the day)  After that, fishing was slow even up by the dam.  We picked up another in front of the Tucannon River and another later on by the bridge.  We ended the day with 3 eaters and one decent 6 pounder that went just over 24 inches which was released.  The last three fish were caught on the #213 Firetiger pattern.  I'm callin' it "Snake Eyes"     I'm tellin' ya, that one is hot on the Snake right now.  It wasn't Norm's best fish, but it was one of his better ones.
